October killed a lot of free tiers. 8 no-card API tiers were claimed to survive. I checked the providers' own pages from Oct 22 — only 7 hold up.
1. Groq: 30 requests/min, 1,000/day, 200K tokens/day on gpt-oss-120b. Fast, but one model carries the free tier.
2. OpenRouter :free: 20/min, 50/day. It becomes 1,000/day only after you buy $10 of credits.
3. Cloudflare Workers AI: 10,000 Neurons/day, resets 00:00 UTC. The quota is real; the unit is not tokens, so budget it differently.
The reversal: 'no card' does not mean 'no catch.' The 8th name failed its own Plans page.
