Daily Drops email
What we store. Your email address, the sections you picked, your time zone (so the email arrives at 6 pm your time), when you signed up and confirmed, and a record of your consent (time, the version of the consent text you saw, an anonymized hash of your IP address and the page you used, /daily). This subscriber data is stored with Resend, our email provider. Our own database keeps no email addresses.
Why. Only to send the Daily Drops email you asked for, and to prove you asked for it. We never sell or share your email.
Processor. Resend (resend.com) stores the subscriber list and delivers the emails on our behalf. Resend keeps its own delivery logs under its own policy. Our database runs on Cloudflare.
Retention. When you unsubscribe, your address is marked unsubscribed at Resend so we never email you again by mistake. Signups that are never confirmed are deleted after 30 days. Rate-limit records from the signup form are deleted after 24 hours. You can also ask us to delete everything at any time.
Your rights. If you are in the EU or UK you can ask for access to, correction of or deletion of your data, object to its use, or complain to your data protection authority. Write to [email protected] from the subscribed address and we will reply within 30 days.
Sponsors
If you request a sponsored spot, we keep the details you submit and an anonymized hash of your IP address. Payments are handled by Stripe.
Everyone else
The site stores a timestamp of your last visit in your own browser (localStorage) to show what is new since then. It never leaves your device.
Analytics
We use Plausible, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that we host ourselves. It sets no cookies and collects no personal data; it only counts visits and pages in aggregate.
