In a Google Cloud project, create an AlloyDB Express cluster and primary instance from the console, gcloud beta alloydb, REST or the AlloyDB remote MCP server (see https://docs.cloud.google.com/alloydb/docs/create-manage-express-clusters).

Heads up. Preview. Free tier is per billing account for the first 12 months; overage and storage above 2 GB are billed. Pricing page says billing starts December 2026. Paused compute is free; used storage still bills. No HA, backups or CUDs on Express.
