🚀 OpenAI and Oracle are turning ChatGPT into an interface for running entire businesses, from financial operations to cybersecurity and app development.
The companies announced an expanded partnership on October 27, 2026, introducing four enterprise AI products that combine ChatGPT, Codex, OpenAI's models, and Oracle's business infrastructure.
The goal? Let employees manage enterprise workflows using natural language instead of navigating dozens of disconnected applications.
And there's an interesting bonus for startups: up to $36,000 in Oracle Cloud credits over three years.
🏢 1. Oracle AI Workspace: Run your business through ChatGPT
This is the centerpiece of the announcement.
Oracle AI Workspace connects ChatGPT with:
▪️ Oracle Fusion Applications: Finance, procurement, HR, and other enterprise operations
▪️ Oracle NetSuite: Accounting, financial management, and business processes
▪️ Oracle AI Database: Enterprise databases and business information
▪️ Oracle Cloud Infrastructure: Cloud services and operational resources
▪️ Third-party tools: Other authorized enterprise applications
Instead of opening several systems, an employee can simply ask:
"Why did our operating costs increase this month, and what needs to happen before we close the books?"
ChatGPT can gather information across finance, procurement, and planning systems, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate the next steps.
Other examples include resolving supply chain disruptions, investigating delayed customer orders, and coordinating employee onboarding.
🔒 The key difference is enterprise governance.
AI agents operate within existing permissions, approval processes, and business rules.
They can recommend actions, but consequential changes still require authorization where company policies demand it.
🛡️ 2. Oracle AI Security Mesh: Autonomous vulnerability discovery
Oracle is also building a managed cybersecurity platform powered by OpenAI's frontier cyber models.
It goes beyond traditional vulnerability scanning.
▪️ Discovers applications, infrastructure, and network relationships
▪️ Tests potential attack paths across interconnected systems
▪️ Uses independent agents to validate findings
▪️ Prioritizes vulnerabilities based on business impact
▪️ Generates recommended fixes and agent-assisted code changes
▪️ Retests systems to verify that vulnerabilities were addressed
It works across Oracle Cloud, other cloud providers, and on-premises infrastructure.
Oracle manages the testing environment and safety controls, while customers define the authorized scope and approve changes.
The goal is to give organizations advanced AI security testing without requiring them to build their own autonomous cybersecurity infrastructure.
💻 3. Oracle App Composer: Build enterprise software with Codex
Oracle wants employees to create internal applications without needing traditional software development expertise.
Describe an application to Codex, connect it to approved business data, and publish it through App Composer.
Oracle handles deployment and operations on OCI.
The platform includes:
▪️ Codex-powered application development
▪️ Connections to approved Oracle databases and workflows
▪️ Deployment using OCI Kubernetes Engine and Autonomous AI Database
▪️ Enterprise authentication and access controls
▪️ Application monitoring, auditing, and lifecycle management
▪️ Collaboration between business teams and professional developers
There's also APEXlang, a new Oracle technology designed to make generated applications easier to maintain rather than leaving teams with opaque AI-written code.
An employee could build an invoice exception dashboard or project tracker, and IT would still control who can access it and what data it can use.
💰 4. Oracle AI SMB Bundle: $12,000 in annual cloud credits
This is an interesting addition for founders.
Oracle introduced a free-to-start package combining:
▪️ ChatGPT Business and Codex
▪️ Oracle AI Workspace
▪️ Oracle App Composer
▪️ NetSuite QuickStart for invoicing and financial operations
▪️ $12,000 in OCI credits annually, renewable for up to three years
